Understanding the Social Threat of COVID-19

As the pandemic COVID-19 spreads globally, UMBC and UMD researchers have received a grant to examine the intensified discrimination against Chinese-Americans. The team hopes to identify ways to promote resilience and support children and families during this challenging time.


UMBC Global Ambassadors

Over 43% of UMBC’s Fullbright U.S. Student Program applicants earned awards, making the university a Fullbright Top Producing Institution. Having access to international learning experiences prepares students for global opportunities in the future.


Together for a Greater Good

UMBC and University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) partner together, committing to become Maryland’s first “age-friendly” universities. This will give society a new perspective on intergenerational learning as the U.S. median age increases.
