Erle Ellis, a professor of geography and environmental systems, is a part of the Anthropocene Working Group, a group made to examine the application of the word being used to describe the current geological setting of the earth, defined by humans.


Office of the Provost Launches Initiative to Celebrate Faculty

UMBC’s Office of the Provost decided to put a university-wide initiative into place in order to commemorate the outstanding faculty at UMBC, and the first recipients were announced last month.
